RackN provides commercial support and license EULAs with addition terms.

RackN makes no warranties or claims regarding use of the RackN SaaS Services or Digital Rebar software in any way unless specifically granted by additional license terms. By using the software, you accept the terms of use and licenses.

No Outbound Internet Access

Digital Rebar Provision (DRP) does not automatically download any materials and does not require an internet connection. It is the user responsibility to establish a connection between the RackN SaaS Service and managed Digital Rebar endpoints.

DRP operates autonomously from RackN SaaS Service so no service level agreement (SLA) is offered for user's internal DRP service availability; consequently, RackN is not responsible for DRP service outages. RackN offers support for DRP and content independently from the RackN SaaS Service.

RackN Content for Digital Rebar

RackN SaaS offered content for Digital Rebar Provision (DRP) is generally offered under the RackN Limited Use (RLU) license. This license prohibits unauthorized use or re-distribution. Please see the specific terms of the RLU license for terms of service.

RackN Non-Commercial Use Restrictions

RackN non-commercial users are entitled to restricted use of the Portal. Restrictions may change over time as RackN develops, enhances, and updates our services. The current use restrictions limit non-commercial customers to managing 20 physical machines. For users interested in managing more physical machines via the Portal, RackN provides an entry level license tier that provides basic Provisioning and Power Management (IPMI) controls. Please see the RackN Pricing and Services page for more details.

RackN SaaS Portal (portal.rackn.io, tip.rackn.io, latest,rackn.io, etc.)

The RackN SaaS Service portal is maintained by RackN as a paid service for RackN customers who comply with the RackN Limited Use (RLU) license. Content with other license terms may be offered by the RackN SaaS Service.

Non-RackN Content

RackN users are able to upload un-licensed or license restricted content. Users uploading content to the RackN service do NOT transfer license; however, RackN reserves the right to inspect and reject any content uploaded to our service.

RackN does not make any guarantees about the licenses of uploaded content.

Data Privacy

RackN makes every attempt to protect user data and does not share or trade user data. We caution against uploading sensitive data including passwords or private keys. RackN reserves the right to reject data including unencrypted passwords or private keys.

RackN does not store passwords or tokens for Digital Rebar endpoints in the RackN SaaS Service database unless specifically requested by the user.

Note: RackN does not maintain user password information; we delegate that responsibility to AWS Cognito.

Data Collection

The RackN SaaS service maintains information about users and user DRP services to provide our service. That includes addresses of DRP endpoints, their configuration and content that has been installed. These information is required to provide our service. We also collect information about use of the RackN SaaS Service to help improve and monitor user experience.

RackN uses data collected from users to enforce license compliance. This data is collected passively during regular DRP administration by users: there is no "phone home" capability in DRP. RackN reserves the right to inspect users DRP sites or add "phone home" instrumentation to resolve license disputes.

Support and Availability

Customer support and service level agreements (SLAs) are different than licenses and handled on an individual customer basis depending on customer need. Being a registered user of the RackN SaaS does not imply a support requirement or SLA.
